Clinical Efficacy Observation of Knee Arthritis Treatment with Hot Ammo Pack Combined with Tuina

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of knee osteoarthritis treated with hot ammo pack combined with massage. Methods From February 2022 to September 2023, 80 inpatients of Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region who met the diagnostic standard of knee osteoarthritis were selected, and were randomly divided into treatment group and control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group, the control group was given tui na therapy, and the treatment group was given the combined tui na therapy of applying the knee thermal amniotic bag, and the patients were given the VAS score, WOMAC score, West Ontario Index score, American Knee Society score (AKS) before and after the therapy. Before and after the treatment, patients were assessed by VAS score, Osteoarthritis Index Score (WOMAC), and American Knee Society Score (AKS) to evaluate the activity function of both lower limbs,evaluated the clinical efficacy. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); the VAS score and WOMAC index score of the treatment group were lower than that of the control group (P<0.05); and the scores of pain, mobility, stability, walking distance, and going up and down the stairs in the AKS of the treatment group were higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine hot amniotic pack combined with massage therapy can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of knee osteoarthritis is accurate, safe and reliable, worthy of clinical application.
