Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of dental implants in the treatment of dental defects. Methods The subjects was 100 patients with missing dentition treated in hospital from January 2021 to September 2022, grouped by randomized envelope method, 50 patients receiving traditional denture prosthesis were set as control group, the other group was set as observation group, a total of 50 cases, the treatment plan was dental implant prosthesis, comparing the differences after using different treatment options. Results The total efficacy rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The gingival index, dental plaque index and gingival crevicular bleeding index of the observation group were better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The repair effect was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). The complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment with dental implant prosthesis is beneficial to relieve the periodontal symptoms of patients, get the ideal restorative effect, but also improving the curative effect and reducing the occurrence of complications, which is suitable for promotion.
