Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of multi-media-led medical cooperative education model in rheumatology and immunology. Method A total of 100 patients with first diagnosed rheumatism who were hospitalized in the rheumatology and immunology Department of the Second People’s Hospital of Qinzhou City from August 2021 to December 2022 were selected. The patients were divided into two groups with 50 patients in each group by random drawing method. The observation group received health education through multimedia oriented cooperative education. The control group received health education in the traditional way of popular science. Questionnaire survey was conducted to compare whether the two groups of patients had statistical significance in the mastery of health education content, psychological and emotional response, satisfaction, medication compliance, follow-up visit compliance and disease recurrence rate. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group was significantly higher than the control group in terms of the mastery of health education content, satisfaction, medication compliance and follow-up compliance, and was significantly lower than the control group in terms of psychological and emotional response and recurrence rate, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Multimedia oriented education can effectively enhance patients’ cognition of the disease, reduce patients’ anxiety, enhance patients’ confidence in treatment, improve compliance, reduce the number of relapse and repeated hospitalization, and have significant effects on the control of the disease and the development outcome of the disease.
