Abstract: Objective To explore the effectiveness of psychological health education based on the Rosenthal effect in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery Methods: 120 patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery in our hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were included as the study subjects. According to different nursing interventions, 120 patients with laparoscopic surgery were assigned to the experimental group and the control group, with 60 patients in each group. The experimental group received Rosenthal effect mental health education, while the control group received traditional preoperative psychological preparation. State anxiety scale (STAI-S) and trait anxiety scale (STAI-T) were used to assess the anxiety level of patients, and visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to assess the degree of pain experienced by patients after surgery. The occurrence of surgical complications in the two groups was recorded and observed, including abdominal infection, intestinal obstruction, pneumonia, cardiopulmonary insufficiency, hemorrhage, pulmonary infection, pulmonary embolism, etc. Results: Results: After the intervention, the STAI scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The VAS scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The probability of complications during laparoscopic surgery in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Psychological health education based on the Rosenthal effect can effectively improve the psychological status of patients and reduce the incidence of surgical complications. These results can help medical professionals to choose appropriate interventions and improve the surgical outcomes and quality of life of patients.
